Who We Are
Bank of Commerce was started on July 2, 1984 by a group led by John W. France and Dr. Archie Kirsch, who purchased the assets of Wyoming Bank of Rawlins. In a newspaper advertisement that day, the group told the community that Bank of Commerce is locally owned and is “Rawlins’ Only Home-Owned Bank.”
Bank of Commerce retains that local ownership status today, and is still "Carbon County’s Only-Home Owned Bank". Bank of Commerce has six directors, all of which are local people. To date, Bank of Commerce has had only one President, Sherrod France. Sherrod has been a banker in Carbon County for over 33 years, and brings great leadership to the bank.
Bank of Commerce has very experienced employees, a wonderful spirit, and a family atmosphere, which is why Bank of Commerce experiences very little turnover in their employees.
